INTERIOR ARCHITECT SPECIALIZING IN HOSPITALITY DESIGN
Jeanette Didon (former Dalrot) is a New York based Swedish interior architect and furniture designer creating eminent hospitality spaces on the international market. After graduating the well renowned art university Konstfack in Stockholm she successfully managed her design studio in Stockholm for several years before relocating to New York for its ever changing and vibrant hospitality scene. During the years in Stockholm she worked with a variety of prestigious clients, from Sweden’s largest hospitality group to the smallest boutique restaurateurs, creating unique signature interiors. Interiors that got her awarded for best Swedish restaurant design for restaurant Ekstedt, and a nomination for best international bar design for Pubologi. Jeanette started her New York career working alongside her inspiration and later mentor and good friend, restaurateur and designer Serge Becker. She later headed as the design director for hospitality group Neighborhood Projects, founded by Matt Abramcyk in Tribeca, maintaining and updating their existing venues as well as creating new spaces. Later she worked as the design director of New York branding studio Safari Sundays’ interior design department. During the New York employments she simultaneously freelanced on several boutique restaurant designs. In 2016 she founded the design studio BYBLACK together with husband Lukas Didon to devote her hospitality clients and projects full time and undivided attention. BYBLACK is a design studio focusing on conceptual bar, - restaurant and hotel designs for a global market. Jeanette’s work in New York has earned her prestigious clients and projects as well as an award nomination in the International Restaurant & Bar Design Awards 2019.
